Mike, I am the one responsible for this eBay posting. You raise some points which deserve further explanation. When I originally found this airplane it was to be in flying condition but after investing money to fly and inspect it the owner had second thoughts about liability and wished to sell after deregistration. However, we came to an agreement and I arranged a place to keep the airplane while I went through it preparing for a DAR inspection.
I am a full time grad student attending school away from home. With school going I would have at most one day per weekend and we all know how those days quickly disappear. To top it off during transport home damage to the rudder and bottom rear skin occurred, and quickly turned it from a minor project to a major project for a guy with no building experience. My friend who had offered up his shop wants to get started on a car project now and I cannot in good consciousness take up his shop space for a year while I dilly dally with only 1 day per week trying to repair the damage and preparing for a DAR inspection. My only other option is a hanger at $350 per month which is not in a convenient location. If the airplane was flying $350 would not be an issue but for a few days a month I cannot justify it. Should you or anyone else have questions do not hesitate to contact me off chat. -Rob Singles On Sun, Aug 12, 2012 at 8:56 AM, Sid Wood <smw...@md.metrocast.net> wrote: > Looks like major damage to the rudder and aft fuselage. > Look at the second set of pictures. > > Sid Wood > Tri-Gear KR-2 N6242 > Mechanicsville, MD, USA > smw...@md.metrocast.net > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > This showed up on eBay this morning.
