Hi everybody.
I've got a KR-2S going - for the last 15 years - haven't worked on it
much in the
last 4 or 5 years other than to start it now and then.
It's a Subaru EA-81 (push rod) it was electronic fuel injected, but I
switched to
Ellison throttle body sucking thru the turbo. It's got a PSRU - I think
1.8:1 ratio.
I was wondering if anybody has heard of anybody doing a CVT type setup
instead
of the PSRU? (Constant Velocity Transmission) search youtube for CVT.
seems to me that it could weigh about the same and keep the prop at say
2400 rpm
while the engine rpm varies.
From what I've seen they're all set up to let drive wheel rpm vary
while engine stays
in "best power" -
Some are spring loaded - I was thinking of vacuum or manual adjust.
Any thoughts?
