Dave, I am not sure that I really understand your questions, so I am sending a link to the documentation that I have on my conversion from the retract to the Diehl fixed. This is for a conventional gear installation, not a tri-gear.
http://krbuilder.org/BrakesAndGear/index.html and a couple extra pics on beginning the process. http://krbuilder.org/gear/index.html I did use epoxy and flox mixture between the gear leg and bracket and lower gear leg and lower bracket, just to give a flush mounting surface. I did not use epoxy between the spar and bracket, but I don't see any harm in doing so. See N64KR at http://KRBuilder.org - Then click on the pics See you at the 2012 - KR Gathering in Mt. Vernon, Il MVN 40th Anniversary There is a time for building and it is over. Daniel R. T-88? I'm thinking the 'West' stuff I bought for glass work is probably not a good idea for that application... 2) Is there any harm in epoxying the gear brackets to the spar when you bolt them on? 3) My wings have a plywood rib about 3 to 4" from the fuselage sides - I don't remember this as a 'supposed to be there' item - is it? Should I cut into it to mount the Diehl brackets flush with the fuse, or should I mount the brackets outboard of this rib?
