Fun flight today.

I made the 178 mile trip north to check out the SAA fly-in at
Champagin, Illinois. Clear skies and very little wind at
altitude. Just a bit under 1 hour 10 minutes each way. I got to use
my recently installed transponder to transition the Champagin
airspace directly to Frasca Field. Lots of beautiful aircraft from
Tiger Moths to Tri-motors and everything in between. There were even
people there that could recognize a KR. Lots of airplanes in the air
today. I was picking up radio chatter on my little handheld radio
from 100 miles out. Grabbed a hot dog, looked at airplanes, and had
an uneventful flight home. LOVE MY KR............
