The new Corvair engine and the BlackBird KR2 made its first long cross
country from Columbia, SC to Mark's place in Alabama. Each leg was
approximately 2hr 45min. At 8500 feet, the aircraft recorded 140 MPH TAS,
burning 3.9 GPH. This is a 2700 Roy Special in a fairly stock KR2.

Total fuel burn was actually 24.8 gallons, which comes out to 4.5 gallons
per hour. I think my fuel flow was recording a little low, even at
altitude, but I expect that it is close.
