NetHeads,

Most of the folks who've been on KRnet and CorvAircraft for any amount of time
realize the benefit of the list archive. It's chock full of questions and
answers from the last ten years or more of posts to the lists, and is a quick
way to get a lot of information on a subject with varying points of view. Most
of the big issues have been extensively discussed in the past, and some of the
contributors are no longer with us.

The KRnet and CorvAircraft lists have had a great list archive run by Rick
Maddy for many years now. But as times have changed, hardware and software
have evolved, and Rick's email capturing methodology was bordering on
obsolescence, so it became time to retire it. A guy named Tom Tugan stepped up
to the plate and recreated it using newer technology, importing all of the old
emails and it is now up and running. There's a link to the new archive at the
bottom of each email that's issued from the lists, as well as a direct
connection from the www.KRnet.com and www.corvaircraft.org websites. I find
the "built in" archive that's provided with the lists a bit cumbersome and slow
to react to emails, but Rick's and Tom's are almost immediate, and are far
easier and quicker to search.

Tom volunteered to do this on his own time (and he's a very busy guy), so if
you appreciate his efforts at much as I do, please Paypal him a few bucks to
help defray his costs at tugan...@yahoo.com . This is purely optional, and no
record is kept of who contributed and who didn't. It's purely up to us. I
don't expect huge sums of money. I sent $20, but $5 from a hundred people
would probably make Tom's day. If times are tight, there will be other
opportunities.
