Or you could just add 2 inches to the motor mount. I made my mount 2" longer 
for aesthetic reasons NOT for fear of instability problems. I like the extra 
room between engine and firewall as well as the look of a long nose section. 
Of course I did add 14" to the fuselage for the same reasons...again NOT for 
stability or CG problems but for sleeker appearance,.   I did have to place 
my battery behind the seat to establish the optimum CG point.  Of course 
moving the complete firewall forward will give more room for a larger fuel 
tank....possible CG problem there...not inherent in the original design. LET 
REASON DICTATE.
