I finished my cowling mold and covered the entire surface with black duck tape. This is just basic shape of the the cowling, I still have to shape some cylinder blisters and spinner fillet . ------------------------------------------------------------
Nice... The tape works okay for a release, but I thought I would share with the list something that I've found to work VERY well. Monokote (the real stuff, not the cheap crap) goes on pretty much any surface (as long as you stick it to itself), heat shrinks, and won't stick to epoxy. You have to be a little careful heating it when using foam as a base, but with care, it can be done. Just food for thought. Matt
