Ken Jones flew the "Porkopolis Pig" with an A-65 for a number of years. It has changed hands a couple of times and is now undergoing a revamp back to flying status in the hands of Chris Corbine. Ken used to fly it all over the country. You'll find photos of it in the 2004 - 2008 KR Gathering Photo Albums at <http://www.KRNet.org>. Don't know if Ken is still on the forum to answer any questions or not.

Good Morning KRnet If there is any flying KR2 stock length flying with Continental engines size 65 or 75 would you please contact me directly. My bird has 350TT flying happily with a 1835VW. I purchased it with engine removed oil leak burned the last one out. I was all set to replace it with an 1835vw pulled from a Dragonfly with low hours and rebuild the engine. Now I'm reading on Great Plains and getting advice from our RAA gang that I really need to get a new case, replace crank and add the GP bearing/prop mount support. This bears the question why rebuild a 1835VW for $2000 when the kits are $3500. Then following this logic why not spend more $ (that I don't have) and go to the larger more common size VW engine OR ? But then I have a perfectly good (isn't that always the answer until it's not) Cont A75 firewall forward just sitting here. What about that instead? Darren Pond
