I checked out these links, and the one Gavin Mcgill posted, and it looks like this would be incredibly easy to do, but a couple of questions come to mind.
Which model of double sided tape do you use. My guess would be the high performance stuff that bonds to plastic and painted surfaces. However, its pricey, especially when you have to spend $65 bucks on 120 yards (min purchase) and only plan on using about 10 feet of the stuff. Anybody know where you can pick up a single roll? Or better yet a roll with only 30 yards in it instead of 60? Todd Thelin Spanaway, WA In a message dated 5/5/2012 6:39:55 A.M. You simply get some Mylar wide enough and long enough to cover the gap and apply it to the bottom of the wing with 3M double sided tape. Her are the links to where you can buy what you need. You can paint this Mylar if you wish to. I installed mine in 2005 and have never had them come off. http://www.surplussales.com/RF/RFTeflon-Mylar_sht.html http://www.uline.com/BL_6025/3M-Double-Sided-Polyester-Film-Tape Mark Jones (N886MJ) Stevens Point, WI E-mail: flyk...@charter.net Web: www.flykr2s.com > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Paul & Karen Smith" <pk.sm...@bigpond.net.au> > > Has anyone here got a lead on where I can buy Mylar for the aileron gap > seals? > > _______________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at http://mylist.net/private/krnet/ to UNsubscribe from KRnet, send a message to krnet-le...@mylist.net please see other KRnet info at http://www.krnet.org/info.html
