Hi William,
In addition to meeting KR builders in Maine, you might also consider
joining a local EAA Chapter. We have an active Chapter here (EAA
Chapter 87) in the Brunswick, Maine area, which looks to be the closest
to you.

The EAA site lists 6 Chapters in Maine:
EAA 1434 Belfast, ME
EAA 1520 Bethel, ME
EAA 1210 Biddeford, ME
EAA 827 Newburgh, ME
EAA 736 Norridgewock, ME
EAA 87 Wiscasset, ME (now Brunswick)

Info on our Chapter can be found on our website at:
http://eaa87.org/

We meet the second Tuesday of every month at the Brunswick Executive
Airport (KBXM) usually around 7pm with the official meeting at 7:30pm.

We don't have anyone currently building a KR, but we do have some
building other wood aircraft, and also fiberglass and metal aircraft, too.

Visitors are always welcome, so you don't need to feel any pressure in
joining the Chapter. Often over the summer months we'll schedule our
meetings at a builder's shop to look over their project. We are also
doing a lot of work supporting the Brunswick International Fly In coming
up this June, if you have any interest in volunteering.
