Well, finally after discussions with Mark L. and the man from Dynavibe, and reading the manual again, all of it this time, I am making really good progress on getting the Corvair balanced. I got it down to .06 IPS at 2800 RPM yesterday but had to quit because the starter was just grinding on the ring gear. I thought the Bendix drive had gone bad, and it may have, but this morning I thought that it may have been because the battery is getting weak with all of this starting and no flying. So, I am going to the airport today to put the starter back on and charge the battery. Then tomorrow, I will know. Anyway, the process with the Dynavibe is working and I expect to get it to around .02 IPS at 2800. Then I will be a happy flyer and can start carrying weight to do the gross weight tests.
