After seeing the Jabaeru and Rotax 912 with Dual Bings on them, I'm
investigating the use of a pair of SU carbs on the 2180 with the traditional
oil  dampened metal piston. This would provide shorter runners to the input
ports, keeping the A/F mixture more complete, and the cilynder combustion and
temperature more balanced (as well as other benefits). I have had a GREAT
experience wiht the Hitachi SU's on a Datsun 1600 roadster. Some of these come
capable of adjusting the jet position to provide leaning. Anyone want to share
their opinion/experience?
