Good job Larry. I had a problem last week with mine when ATC reported that I
was not sending altitude. I started checking into it and called factory service
and all that junk. Finially l had the local avionics guy come over so I could
decide if it was the encoder or the transponder. The good and bad news was that
I had disconnected the antenna coax from the antenna. My wasn't i embarassed.
But that was still cheaper than send a perfactly good transponder to

My static line components came in the mail today and I completed the
installation of the encoder. Happy to say the 14 or so wires I
soldered together, the ground and power wires, the static line hoses,
the antenna and coax, all worked to perfection. I now have a
transponder and encoder !!!! I was 180 miles north of Memphis,
Tennessee and they had me on radar and the mode C was reporting my
altitude to within 150 feet of the altimeter and dual GPS receivers
on board and my little hand held radio with external antenna was loud
and clear. I can't wait to actually use it now for flight following
or flying in to airspace where transponder is
required. YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA................

It was also working with a G1000 collision avoidance system installed
in a Cirrus flying in the pattern.
