Hi Mark No not at all, I was just interested in what kind of CHT's you were getting during a normal take off and climb. Those are really good temperatures. I think the highest CHT I see is 271F which in my language is 132.8C. Nice and cool. ( I can't see how anybody can be concerned about losing a bit of cooling fin when drilling the head for a second plug) Can you tell me where you are measuring your OAT? I gather it must be somewhere under the cowl as it cools down as you get going. I would assume that the reason for it cooling down further after the motor quit was the fact that you still had air speed but were not producing any heat under the cowl??
