Dan,

I didn't see my first reply to this show up and since I sent it from my
smartphone, I thought it may not have went through. Sorry netters if this is a
duplicate.

So, Dan.... another big YEEE HAAAW for you and Black Bird. You need to let us
in on performance numbers with that heavier motor hanging out front.

I am in the middle of my annual and waiting on my exhaust to get back from Jet
-Hot for warranty ceramic re-coating.  They really seem to stand behind their
product and unlike typical ceramic coatings, they coat the inside and the
outside of your exhaust. The temperature differences are amazing and when I
think of getting heat out from under my cowling and away from my motor, it
makes sense. Besides, with the cost of exhaust systems, why wouldn't every one
want to have an exhaust that is warrantied to never rust . OK, enough on my
endorsement of Jet Hot. Hope I didn't violate any rules here. Forgive me Mark L.

So, while I am waiting, I am finally finishing my wheel speed pants. They are
currently on my kitchen table drying. I am also putting on that big oil cooler
you advised me to put on. Going to probably repaint my motor just to make that
much nicer for next years KR Gathering, what the heck, its down anyway, might
as well. Clean up the baffling a bit more, buff out those areas of paint I
overlooked and hope that by the time my exhaust gets back the weather holds out
a little longer so that I can fly.

For those of you that don't know, pardon my excitement and the length of this
email. But, until just before I took my KR down for annual I was unable to fly
for over a year because of a severe foot injury. I got in one flight for Air
Fest 2011 and then it was annual time. By the way, if you were at KR gathering
2010 you probably noticed, I was the one with a cast on. It is why I was not
able to attend KR gathering 2011 because I was still in a cast.

Dan got me a needed replacement instrument to enable me to make KR Gathering
2010 and Mike Warner flew it for me since I was unable to due to my injury.
This is why this is the greatest forum group around. Great experience, advice,
encouragement and support.

Dan has been instrumental in encouraging me though all of my physical and
technical challenges even going so far as help with parts. So a big thanks to
you Dan as well as Mike Warner for the same.

So, fly Black Bird up here Dan. Maybe in a few weeks I can get mine down there.

Subject: KR> Black Bird attended CC21

Saturday, the Black Bird arrived in Barnwell, SC for the 21st Corvair
College.  As soon as she was parked the usual happened when a new born
arrives.  I believe that she was well received.  I apologize for not taking
any pics, but I was busy and did not take the time to get my camera out.  I
will try to do better next time.
