Some days you go to the hangar or shop to work on your project and after working all day, wonder, what did I get done today. I have had a lot of those days lately, but starting on Saturday, everything started to fall into place and the obstacles are just vanishing. As I wrote the other day, my engine is now running, the coils are good, the Crane unit is good and the cowling is almost fitted. It actually surprised me how well it fit after trimming. It is made for a KR2S, and my plane is a KR2, so I expected that there would be much more difficulty getting it to fit.
The Ellison EFS-3A was sent 2nd day air to Ben and it was supposed to arrive there tomorrow. Today I got a call from Ben Ellison, telling me that some polishing compound had gotten into the first 4 holes in the needle. They have corrected that and are shipping it back tomorrow. I don't know how to deal with all this "Progress Prosperity", but I am loving it. Oh, and one of my RV friends is going to paint my baffles for me when he paints his this week. How good can it get?
