I haven't been to the Reno air races, but I suspect it's set up with the bleachers on the outside of the pillars. That's a bit like the folks who watch rally races on the outsides of turns. Eventually something is going to happen and somebody will get hurt because the car is automatically pulled out into the crowd. If people could watch the air races from the inside of the circuit looking out, it would be a lot safer. I hope I get the chance to see one someday.
