>> Did anyone on the KR list get it too, and if so has anyone investigated root of the viruses and who sent them? I'm sure Glenda didn't<<
I notified the company that hosts the list about the problem. There have been three or four more similar to it in the last couple of weeks, all from different memebers. I've "moderated" that account (and the others), in case their PC is infected and spewing this stuff out. They can read but not post to the list until the problem is fixed. Another possibility is that their addresses have been "spoofed" so they appear to come from them, but in reality they come from a spammer somewhere. I would think the mylist server would be able to tell the difference, but maybe not. That was the reason for my request of them, to see if they could determine if it was spoofed or if it really did come from that computer. I guess I could compare IP addresses between previous messages and these to see for myself. Nobody "sent" viruses, but instead a link was sent which you had to click on to get a virus. Most of these things you can just look at and tell they're not somewhere you want to go, or have no relevance to the context of KR building. It's always a good idea to ignore anything that's so vague or off-topic that it makes no sense. We should all be savy enough by now to recognize these things and avoid them.
