We've all heard stories about someone in Kalamazoo or Walla Walla sighting The King sipping a coffee outside of the Dunkin Doughnuts as they drive by. Well I had one of these sightings taxing back to my hanger out here in Chino California yesterday. I passed by Steve Glover's hanger, a few doors down from my own, and I see this wirey haired hanger rat leaning up against the door. It took a double take to realize I was gazing upon The King (of the Corvair). William Wynne in the flesh. It turns out he was out here investigating a Corvair incident out in Temecula, California (new pilot ran out of gas). Hopefully he was gently cajoling Steve to do something with the pile of Corvair cores sitting in the back of the Chino hanger--KR100?.
