Did you sell the KR1 kit? I am still interested. I am just waiting on a
price, or a notification that it went on ebay. I would probably still be
interested in the Renault LeCar.

Thanks

Hi,
My name is Neil Hochstedler and I'm new to the KR list. My family is
dealing with my father's estate and we've found what I believe are
the plexiglass bubble, wood and castings kits for a KR1.

Dad bought this kit back in the mid to late 70s when he was spraying
urethane foam and I was dragracing VWs and taking flying lessons. He
thought we had a good skills match for a father/son collaboration and
we did, but for a number of reasons the project never quite got off
the ground. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.) So the parts kicked around
for a while and got lost among the rest of his collection.

I believe the kits are still complete as he bought them. They've been
moved at least twice from building to building, always under cover
except for the photoshoot which can be viewed at
http://s1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff385/neilho/. Except for the
plexi bubble, they're in their original packaging. One of the wood
packages is about 60" long, the other about 12'. Some of the 12' long
pieces of wood have water stains over the last 4" or so on one end
(see the photo), but all the wood is now dry, straight and in
excellent condition. In the "castings kit" are some castings, some
aluminum piano hinges, some aluminum bar stock (6061T6, I believe)
and some aluminum extrusions of unknown alloy. There's probably a
parts list, packing list and instructions somewhere too, but we
haven't found them yet and don't know what all these parts are.

So, we have a few questions, including: Are these parts indeed for a
KR1? What are they? Are they still useful to anyone, and if so, whom?
etc, etc. Any comments, information and opinions would be very welcome.

I can also be reached by email at nei...@innevi.com and at 802.685.3129.

Thanks for your time,
Neil
