I have wing tanks that will feed to a small header tank. it bolts directly to the frame. I have only just ordered Tony B's book so I haven't read anything about not doing so. However, I do intend to bolt it directly to the frame - I feel I am too far down the road to start changing things now. However I will incorporate some kind of rubber bushings/straps into the process. I probably would have done that anyway, even without this thread. My plan is wing tanks with electric pumps (copying part of it from Langford's setup). In addition to calculating how much fuel I have, I intend to have a "sight gauge" on the header so I can always see how much fuel I have. Ray New Orleans

Though what if you use strips of Rubber between the frame and the tank? That way it's not resting directly on the frame? Even if you use straps you probably want to use rubber on the straps to keep them from rubbing a hole into the tank.
