The best way to heat treat an engine mount is to take a welding torch in one hand and a long handled magnet in the other. With the engine mount secured and a carburizing flame on the torch apply heat to the welded area until it becomes non magnetic, remove the flame and let it cool down gradually. The metal will glow to a dull red when the local magnetism ceases. Do this with each welded joint to relieve internal stresses.
