If I can, I certainly would like to recommend the "weldingweb" at www.weldingweb.com . It is a fantastic site with a plethora of information concerning welding education and equipment. I have been a member there for a very long time and never came up short for an answer.
Craig, I'm confident that all of your questions concerning welding would be welcomed there. The job could be done quickly and really give professional results with little to no cleanup work and not as critical as torch or splatter gun. Just my 2 cents seeing as I am lazy and do things the easiest and most efficient way I can. There are plenty of people that would help you out if you explain what you need to them. You might want to try a "wanted ad" on Craigslist, As I have helped many there myself. TIG is out for me because of cost.
