Bob, Yes I have an aerocarb, The carb had the mod for sticky carb from the begining. I am pulling it apart also before i fly again, I have about 550 hours on the carb with out any problem, If it is in the carb I am betting more on dirt in the slide. It also does not become unlocked when the engine is shut down. Joe what carb are you using? Just for your info I was using a aero carb on my 2180 VW kr2 for about fifty hours when I had a similar problem. Locked up twice on final ! It was the aero carb ,only locked up when engine was running. I sanded the slide about .20 thousands. Been working great for the last 100 hours. Hope this helps.
