Mark, I live just over the mountain at MOR.  I saw you departing morristown on
your way to Jack's fly. You were gone before I knew you were here. That Corvair
sounds awsome. My KR2S is finished but I haven't installed the wings because I
don't have the room in my hangar.  Have 4 airplanes.  Need to sell two or
three.  I fly the Lancair just about every evening in the mountains and around
the lakes.  I am still amazed at the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.  Lived here
all my life.

NetHeads,

Today I flew up to see Fontana Dam again, in western North Carolina...an hour
up and an hour back.  I saw a blurb on Hoover dam this morning on TV, and
thought I'd see if the leaves were turning yet around Fontana Dam.  They
weren't, but it was still worth the trip (see
http://www.n56ml.com/flights/100920035m.jpg ).  On the way back I flew over the
Ocoee River ( http://www.n56ml.com/flights/100920108m.jpg ), with the rapids
and some rafters (orange dots in the middle of the photo), as well as the power
stations along the way.  I parked the plane with 955 fun-fiilled hours on the
clock...
