Fellow Net Heads: My KR had a incident. While landing on my 1600ft/very wet grass strip, at 75 mph, board down, greased it,had at least 2/3 of the strip left for stopping....well you guessed it Smooth tires and wet grass/sliding like they were having fun, I over ran the smooth grass and got into the rough. An old stump, about 3"s high caught my right gear and spun me around...Resulting in busting the gear and my prop ...Damn! This is not the story that I intended to bring to the gathering, but it is what it is. Looks like Dan has it right about the building/flying time....Now I am building again and looking for parts. It would be great to see a complete Diehl gear assy. on the "for sale" table at the gathering. Am not sure what I am going to find when I examine the 1835 vw crankshaft. See you in Richmond.
