Flying in the Central Oregon high desert area we had lots of whirlwinds at
times, it was nothing to see two or three of them staggered down the runway
and have wait till they passed. On take off once with my Citabria, just as
the tail came up my left wing went up high and fast, I corrected with hard
left aileron but it didn't go down like I thought it would, the right wing
came up instead. I nudged the stick forward a tiny bit and it kept flying
but my heart sure missed a couple of beats and my adrenalin level got a
little high. I sure miss those days. I'm slowly letting go. I've sold my
Cessna, N37LH sits in the hangar, I never got to fly it... Lynn KL7YXF
