I used smooth prime, and will never use it again, so I do not suggest that one. If you want to know why, just ask off net. Any two part filler primer will do fine. I was advised that using a Lacquer based paint is better for your health than enamel, so you may want to investigate which type you will use. I have used enamel, and agree with the reasons for not using it, but too late for me. I know you did not ask about paint, but it may be time to start planning for it.
You may want to consider this filler primer: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/cmpages/featherfill.php I used it first, then found that my PPG auto paint dealer also has a good one that is relatively cheap.
