Certainly does, but it either that, or get the screws so buggered up that
they sometimes will not come out.  One of our RV guys suggested Boe-Lube,
and that works for a while, but wears off, and still does not make it easy
to screw and un-screw.  For an inspection plate, you must be able to get it
off and on.

Take your pick, and they don't seem to be the same material, may be, but the
floating really tear up the screws.  Give it a shot and see.

Anyway, that is my advice, and your results WILL vary.

Doesn't that ruin the self-locking feature of the nut?  It is my
understanding that both plain and floating all metal nutplates ae made by
the same process as MS21042 nuts.
