1/2-20 thread is like a bolt thread. It is not NPT (national pipe thread)
nor is it a flared AN fitting.
Again,
I am in need of an aluminum 90° fitting which is 1/2-20 male thread x 1/2-20
female
thread. I could use female x female with a short nipple if I have to.
I prefer not to be a street elbow but a tight 90°. The ideal fitting would
have a male leg with 1/2-20 threads that are 5/8" long with a cube on top.
Drill the cube from the side and tap a 1/2-20 threaded hole. Then drill down
through the male leg to make a passage thus making a tight 90°. I would make
it myself but I do not have the proper equipment. I have seen these for
hydraulic lines with swivel heads. I just don't want the swivel.
