Regarding Kris Leirfallom's question.
I had pondered this too. My thought was to use a hybrid of wing attach
fittings morphed with Diehl inspired main gear attach fittings out on the ends
of the center spar. I considered that if this was possible I might kill three
or four birds with one stone. What I hoped to achieve is to get the main gear
out of the prop wash. If this can work then why not duplicate the wing/gear
attach on both the front and back sides of the main center spar so that the
main gear legs might be mounted as tri gear and then later re-mounted as
conventional gear. My big question would be this. Did Diehl  mount his gear
where he did because there were WAF's in his way further out, or because the
moment arm of the landing load would exceed the structural integrity of the
center spar if placed further out?

" Maybe some way the Diehl nose gear can be installed and removed again and the
main gear can be moved from the front of the spar to the back of the spar."
