All,
I have been a lurker for several years as I gathered parts and materials
but am getting close to gluing sticks together. I have poured over builders
websites and old posts, as well as my plans and construction book and have some
questions but I'm going to continue to do some research until I'm smart enough
to know what I need to be asking. However, I have one quick question that has
probably been asked before. I hope you will indulge me. I'm ordering some
spruce and ply and was wondering if the grain orientation on the 5-ply 1/4"
birch ply used on the firewall needs to be vertical or horizontal or does it
matter. Yes, I know plywood doesn't technically have a grain. I'm talking about
the two outer surfaces or plys. Thanks for the help. Ken
