I shipped out a new nose gear strut overnight to him yesterday. Apparently it wasn't real bad. He was giving a demo ride to the new buyer who made a hard landing on the nose gear.
I had a few different calls regarding the nose gear strut yesterday. The biggest question I am getting is regarding the strength of the strut for heavier engines. Both Mark Jones and Joe Horton have the strut on their KR's with the Corvair engine. Jones has added an additional gusset. I think Joe's is stock. With all the heavier engines being used right now we are looking into a couple modifications to support the additional weigh of these engines. I spoke with Dan Diehl for awhile yesterday regarding the changes that are needed. To alleviate the concerns voiced to us we may have something that will meet the needs of both the VW and Corvair guy's soon.
