When I had my "unplanned" landing, I departed the strip (thanks to a very
adjacent field of oilseed rape) ,in a ground loop configuration. This resulted
in the tail breaking off just in front of the h.s.

When I collected my thoughts and the sad remains, I noticed that the control
cables had sliced through the fuselage side almost up to the seat shelf, due to
the side loads imposed during landing.

It could be that a cable harness restraint connected to the rear fuse could
have unconsidered consequences if landing in similar circumstances.

Also our PFA inspectors were unhappy with the rear spar belt attachments and
required a steel strap around the spar with a connecting point for the seat
belts.(They have to do something to justify their existence).

I also remember seeing Alan's KR just after his "unplanned" landing and noted
that his landing configuration was more in the vertical mode, so his tail
attached harness restraint would not be stressed laterally?

She looks terrific,Alan -what type of canopy opening?
