Well, we are not quite home yet and probably won't make it until sometime on Thursday. Eric and I spent the past two days at Dan Diehl's place making wings and gear parts. We have loaded the truck and are on our way home now with his complete inventory of landing gear and composite components for the KR. We have stopped in Amarillo for the night.
I am amazed at how much stuff Dan had available that most people didn't know about. There are cowlings for virtually any evolution of the KR except the Corvair. Anything from Marty Robert's to Steve Alderman's cowlings, the original that Jim Faughn's was pulled from, the original and last "Ol Blue cowl's. He even had type VI VW's and all the stock stuff. So if anyone is interested in any of these we have them. I have finally seen the tail skins that I have heard rumor about. We will be able to provide them for the stock KR's. There is so much other stuff that I won't bother the net with but it will be listed on our website once it is published. We hope to have it up shortly after returning home. These past couple days have been enlightening to say the least. We have been fortunate to spend some time with Dan, his Dad, and Marty as well as the great crew Dan has down in Tulsa. It really was a priviledge to hear about the history of the KR from those who were there at the beginning and get a new perspective on the adventure we have embarked on. All good things... It was great to see everyone at the Gathering and we can't wait until next year. Steve Glover
