The Gathering started out on a gloomy note this year with the two accidents on Thursday. We were very fortunate that the injuries were not more serious then they were after viewing the condition of the KR's. We wish Dan and Roger a speedy recovery and a safe trip home to their families.
It will be a week or two before I can rap up the details on the Gathering as I don't even have my truck unloaded yet this morning. I have a busy schedule this week but hope to give a financial update, mail out the hats and shirts promised, get my KR back home, etc. by this weekend. If I forget someone's request on any of the details, please shoot me an e-mail and remind me. I promise I will get to you eventually. The jacket I was given at the awards banquet for my efforts in hosting the past six Gatherings was, to say the least, unexpected, but greatly appreciated. I look forward to next years Gathering and wish Dana the best as next years host. My only request is that he provide me with a shade tree and a lawn chair so I can spend my time relaxing and enjoying the event and spending more time with everyone attending. Hosting the Gathering is certainly not a one person effort and I greatly appreciate and thank everyone that helped in any way to make the Gatherings a success. With everyone's help I'm sure our future Gathering will be just as successful and enjoyable as the last six have been. Take it away, Dana............. Larry Flesner
