Hope all of You are enjoying the "Gathering"! Maybe I'll be able to
join You next year! I have enjoyed all Your tips and information over
the last three Years that I have been working on my KR-2. I have
remained mostly silent, having only contacted a couple of you.
Nonetheless, I feel a part of the KR community, and really wish I could
be there (weather and all).

Over the years several people have posted on the use of Astro/Safarivan
Fiberglass leaf springs for main gear legs on the KR-2. I have not been
able to get into contact with anyone who has been successful with these.
Does anyone have information on this? I have several encouraging
postings from Peter Johnson KR-2SexyKenora, Ontario dated Apr 2, 2002
5:12 PM <http://www.maddyhome.com/krsrch/thread?tt=d&on=2&hit=65> He
must have changed his email address as I cannot get in touch with him.
I am faced with the need to change the retractable system to fixed
before certifying my aircraft (it is almost done and I am out of money).
It would seem that the astrovan gear could be reinforced with several
layers of bid to strengthen it a little if needed. I have already
acquired the 4130 plate to construct the brackets. Any help on this
matter would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, and Enjoy a Safe Gathering!
