Sid is absolutely right in that a mixture meter is the way to find your
Stoichiometric or ideal fuel/air mixture. However, I have heard that they
won't last very long when used with leaded fuels. Of course that may not be a
problem for much longer, but for now it still is. I'll direct the question to
Sid or others using the meter.... Do the mixture meters have a longevity issue
when used with leaded fuels such as 100LL? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Ever heard of a mixture meter? Show up at the Gathering on September 18 &
19 at MVN and I am sure there will be several flying examples. IF you want
to hear it, I will be glad to tell you all about mixture meters.
