Adding a speed brake to your KR will make it a new airplane in the 
landing pattern and one you will enjoy flying even more than you do 
now.  I have 350 hours on my KR and would not give up my speed brake 
for anything.

My brake is actuated by a Cessna flap motor which is a bit heavy but 
it was "free".  Don't make adding a speed brake too 
complicated.  Just bolt it to the floor behind the rear spar and 
devise a way to actuated it.  I'll link you to some photos.  If you
