Larry, why would you do that? The 601 is a fine airplane. Here is a

I would have no problem at all flying in a 601 that was maintained as
the kit manufacturer recommends.
If you truly do not want to finish it, please consider selling it to
someone as "unairworthy parts" or similar. It would be a shame to see
it destroyed.
