I was doing a DynaVibe balance on my friend Gene's Corvair powered KR
this morning. He's recently gone through two Tiny Tach's and the second
one still wasn't working right. Reading very high and jumping all over.

Just as the instructions apparently say to do, he had the TT wire
grounded to the engine. The ground lead comes off the wire which gets
wrapped around the plug lead. My TT doesn't have that, but his does. I
mentioned mine had no ground wire, so suggested he disconnect the ground
wire. He did. His TT now works just fine and the RPM readings
correspond to the DynaVibe readings within a few RPM's.

So . . . anyone having trouble with their Tiny Tach, disconnect the
ground.

Mike
