Interestingly enough, my Bro lives on the Central California Coast in south San Francisco, and I always freeze when I go there to visit him. I grew up in the Sierra Nevada Foothills in Northern California, and recall we could pretty much see any weather coming toward us about a week out. Most of my adult life was spent in Coastal Georgia and I am used to the VFR mornings followed by daily Afternoon Thunderstorms followed by VFR evenings, at least most of the time. At least when it rained out there it was warm enough not to matter if you got wet.
