And along that same line, I don't think you have to use the serial number on the plans to register your plane Experimental. You don't even have to call a KR2 a KR2.. You can call it a Smith 22 if you wanted to. And, who is going to check the serial number when you register the plane; call it a 000002.. Nothing for the FAA to cross check the serial number against anyway..
