After trying several struts from AutoZone, wrong length, wrong pressure, I spotted the struts on my pickup truck topper setting in the drive. They are use to lift / hold the back glass door. Result: perfect length and perfect pressure.

Good luck...... Does anyone recall the tip given several years ago on how to lower the pressure in a strut by cutting a grove or something at the end of the rod and letting out some pressure? I'm sure it was mentioned on the net and maybe a web page given for instructions. Larry Flesner
