I keep seeing interesting parallels to things I used to do with V-Twin
Harleys on this site for the guys that are running air cooled motors. Mark L
is running baffles that are nearly identical to the ones I have on my drag
pipes on my '60 Sportster (888 cc's, 10.5 compression, 38mm Mikuni) to keep
the cops at bay, and now Jeff is running 38" pipes on the front cylinders
and 35" pipes on the back: relevance - the prime length for 1 1/2" diameter
drag pipes on the aforementioned Sportster is 36".

Interesting.

(Also running a Morris mag from WAY back.)

The design was for 38" pipes. I accomplished that on the two front
cylinders. I don't have the bending equipment available to do a really bang
up job on headers, so the two aft cylinders ended up closer to 35"
in length.
