What about riveting two pieces of 1"x1"x.125" angle together to form a tee? Sure, you'd gain a few grams, but at least you could get on with your life. And it'd be easier to cut to shape on a band saw as well, since you'd be cutting L instead of T. I'd be willing to bet (if it were MY plane) that 1"x 1"x .060" would also work just fine, but I'm not recommending it to anybody. After all, you have four places holding it. One other possibility might be Dillsburg Aeroplane, 114 Sawmill Rd, Dillsburg, PA 17019, Tel (717) 432-4589. They have no website or email that I know of, and might just have that because they're in the airplane supply business.
