If I were doing a turbo application I'd probably go the normalize setup and 
have a setup like a TSIO-360 in a mooney 231, a friend has one and it maintains 
S.L. performance at alltitude via turbo boost and you have nothing to monkey 
with, no controls just let it cool before shut down. An intercooler would be 
nice on the 231 though as it gets warm at high alt at high M.P. settings, any 
turbo KR's have the heating issues at altitude?
