Somehow I have acquired a box of welding rods. I am not and do not have a
welder, but do any of you know what I have and what it would be used for?
the only makings are the number 7018 printed on the rod itself.

You have low hydrogen welding rods. They can be used in AC or DC stick
welding. This type of rod makes good strong welds, just keep the arc a bit
smaller than usual.
The rods are sensitive to moisture, so keep the rods in a sealed container
and dry.
