I have a few collected at home for the same reason. My favorite is Ross Youngblood's, brand new and "ready to fly". It was for sale on ebay for something like $3500 minimum and never got a bid. I'll send it to you tonight if I remember. My state taxes are something like 1/50th of what they want to charge you, but the tax rate isn't something either of us has much control over. That does sound ridiculously high. In ten years you could've bought another one with that money. If it really is that high, I'd have to dedicate the rest of my life to changing that one if I lived there. That just doesn't make sense, unless they are trying to eliminate general aviation in Kansas... Mark Langford, Huntsville, AL mail: N56ML "at" hiwaay.net website: www.N56ML.com
